Disclaimer

US Tax Calendar is a free reference tool. It is not tax, legal, or accounting advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship between you and anyone involved in building it.

Deadlines shown here are compiled from IRS publications, IRS form instructions, and, for state and city filings, each jurisdiction's own government website or a named official document, cited per entry. Tax rules and deadlines change, and a deadline can also shift for reasons specific to your situation (fiscal year, disaster relief, statewide holidays, and more). Always confirm any deadline against the official source cited before relying on it, and consult a qualified tax professional about your specific situation.

Every date on this site is computed live from a stored recurrence rule - a statutory day of the month plus the standard weekend/federal-holiday shift-forward convention - rather than looked up from a single-year table. This lets dates project correctly into past and future years, but it also means a date is only as good as the rule and the holiday calendar behind it. The federal holiday set used for the weekend/holiday shift does not include DC Emancipation Day (observed mid-April), which in some years pushes the individual federal return deadline one day later than this calendar computes; always confirm the individual filing deadline for the specific year against IRS.gov.

Calendar subscription feeds (webcal:// / .ics) are static files regenerated periodically, not a live query against this site's data. A feed you subscribe to will reflect the rules in place as of its last regeneration; if a jurisdiction changes a filing deadline, the feed catches up on the next regeneration, not instantly.

An extension of time to file is not an extension of time to pay tax that is due.
